  "ABSOLUTELY WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Don't waste your money on them. Honestly you could do a better job than them. Very Poor building inspection. Just a tick and flick report was sent to us. Absolutely nothing was picked up on the report. I hired them to do an inspection for my house and later decided to sell the house and found out there were several major defects in the property which I wasn't made aware of. I have also emailed and called them a couple of times to get an answer, but they don't respond to my email. Save yourself the headache and get yourself a more experience inspectors than these amateurs who doesn't know anything about building or inspection."

  "Very much a waste of time and money. I got an inaccurate report saying that a door fixes to my garage required to be an external door. I challenged the building company and delayed move in costing me another weeks rental. Guess what, the door was a weatherproof fibreglass one and fit for purpose. After complaining to ispect they said the report "was not meant to be prescriptive, but to ensure it was a weatherproof solid exterior door". I thought the whole idea was to get a independent report with any building faults. Complete rip off."

  "The inspection report was a bit to short on detail. The inspector did highlight minor improvements to be made on the property prior to purchase. However, the report produced was not detailed enough. Worth noting that the inspector did not inspect the roof due to height restrictions. That is one fact to be noted prior to using this inspection service."

  "Would not recommend. This was my first time getting a building inspection done and I decided to go with APBI. The inspector, Brad, missed out a few items on the report, things that I had specifically pointed out to him while in the house together. I was left questioning the quality of his report and wondering what else he had missed. He also knocked over a pot of dirty liquid that spattered over the wall, a minor issue as it didn't seem permanent but just another red flag for me. When I raised the missed items with management, they handled my concerns very poorly - they kept minimising the issue and didn't show any empathy. As a first-time home buyer, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Definitely won't be using them again."

  "Had an inspection done on a property...The report is misleading and poorly written. The issues that were found were insignificant but listed at the end as Major defect/Recommendations. The recommendations insisted on engaging plumbers and handymen to remedy things that were a $20 fix. These were fixed buy the vendor in good faith, however not required under the sales contract. The tension, stress and anxiety caused to all parties were ridiculous. As it was written this way, the instinct was to insist on money back, which was, in our eyes, due to the poorly worded report. Fix your reports because they cause undue pressure. A recommendation to make a minor repair is vastly different to a major defect which is a 'threat to life or serious injury'."

  "APBI conducted our building and pest inspection in Perth in April 2021. So disappointed with their service. After discovering that so many faults had been not reported, I contacted APBI for comment. They made numerous excuses and instead of apologising and sorting the issue out they left me hanging and out of pocket. We had live wires from an electrical point hanging and their response was that this had an obstructed view at the time of inspection. I also had numerous other issues like a cracked door which was not reported as well numerous electrical lightings that are not working. Anyone that is looking for a building inspector, please save your money and pay for another company to conduct your inspection as you will not be disappointed at least. APBI failed to do a proper inspection and I will definitely recommend people to stay away from using them. I would like a full refund for the poor quality inspection undertaken or alternatively please arrange someone to come down and fix these issues."

  "Avoid like the plague!!! These people are completely incompetent. Missed a hole in the exterior of the roof, multiple places where water is leaking into the property. Now its up to me to take up with the builder. Ps if builder does not fix I will be taking you to court!!"

  "APBI came well recommended from a friend who had excellent service and a very detailed report including a roof inspection. We were looking for the same level of service as we were purchasing a very old house. Unfortunately APBI wouldn't access the roof cavity citing access restrictions which left us without visual inspection inside the roof which we weren't comfortable with. This wasn't communicated very well and left us not much time to finish the building inspection as part of the purchase. We ended up getting a roof carpenter in to have a look for us to complete the works. Other parts of their report appeared thorough."

Then the content was inaccurate and vague. We had to seek a second advice and experts were shocked by the report.
